Badung - The series top events of the G20 Summit Presidency was officially closed by the President of Republic Indonesia Joko Widodo on Wednesday (16/11/2022) at the Temple Ball Room Hotel Apurva Kempinski Nusa Dua, Bali Province, marked by the handing over of the G20 Summit session hammer to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi as the holder of G20 presidency in 2023.
President Jokowi expressed his gratitude to all ministries and institutions, Indonesian National Army, Indonesian Republic Police and the G20 working group that have helped realize the success of Indonesia's G20 presidency over the past year.
It is an honor for Indonesia to lead the G20 Presidency in 2022 for one year. President Jokowi also appreciated the enthusiasm the leaders of G20 countries who were present in Bali even in the midst of a global situation that was experiencing many difficulties.
Furthermore, Jokowi also said that the Indonesian G20 Presidency was started with the hope of uniting a common intention in realizing an inclusive world recovery, especially from a pandemic.
"Thank you, His Excellency Prime Minister Modi. Dear Leaders, we have arrived at the end of the G20 Summit. Farewell to all state leaders who attended and invited delegates, have a safe trip. I hereby declare that the G20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia, is closed," said Jokowi while tapping the gavel on the table.
Meanwhile, Pangdam IX/Udayana General Major Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., regarding security is still being carried out strictly by the Security Task Force, both in the Nusa Dua area or the Jimbaran area is the main venue for the G20 Presidential Summit, to be precise at the Apurva Kempinski Hotel, to Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.
"Security will continue to be strictly enforced both on land, including at sea and in the air until the Presidents leading the Delegation countries/participants of the G20 Summit Presidency return to their respective countries," concluded the Pangdam.
The peak event of the G20 Indonesia Summit in Bali is considered successful if all the leaders of G20 Summit heads participating countries and Delegates return to their countries safely and securely.
