This is The Mandate of The Chief of Staff of The TNI AD during the Flag Ceremony Which was Held by Kodam IX/Udayana

Denpasar - We should be grateful, the regional event of the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, NTT has taken place smoothly and safely. This of course cannot be separated from the implementation of our duties in VVIP Security which has been held professionally, proportionally and humanely and is always in synergy with the National Police and all the elements involved.

This was conveyed by the Chief of Staff of the Army, General TNI Dr. Dudung Abdurachman in his address read by Danrem 163/Wira Satya Brigadier General Agus Muchlis Latif, S.I.P., M.M., at the Flag Ceremony on 17 May 2023 at Field I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Kepaon, South Denpasar.

The success of VVIP Security at the 2023 ASEAN Summit is proof that synergy between institutions is one of the main keys to the successful implementation of tasks in various fields. So the hope is that the successful holding of the 2023 ASEAN Summit will improve the image of the Indonesian nation in the eyes of ASEAN and the world.

The Kasad also said that the policies of the TNI AD to support government programs in the social sector were also being seriously implemented by all levels and the community was increasingly feeling the benefits. This makes a positive contribution so that the current level of public trust in the TNI is still in the top position.

"I remind all soldiers and civil servants and their families, don't take actions that tarnish the good name of the TNI and hurt the people's hearts with arrogant behavior or uncontrolled emotions when interacting with society," said Kasad.

Although many tasks have been successfully carried out by the TNI AD, there are still deficiencies that must be corrected, such as soldiers who died on the battlefield, traffic accidents and other violations committed by unscrupulous TNI AD personnel that could damage the image of the TNI.

Regarding entering the political year, Kasad emphasized to all TNI AD soldiers as a tool of the state to uphold the commitment of neutrality and stand above the interests of the nation and state. "Don't let any TNI AD soldier get caught up in practical politics and be dragged down by personal interests or certain groups and classes," concluded Kasad.

The flag ceremony led by Danrem 163/WSA was attended by officers, non-commissioned officers, enlisted men and civil servants at the Makodam and Kodam IX/Udayana units in the Denpasar City and Badung Regency areas. (Pendam IX/Udy)
